PhiSat Examination: People Who Need or May Take the Exams

Who are those who needs to take the incoming September 2017 PhilSat exams?

1. Those who are required to take are Current freshmen law students who are conditionally enrolled for missing the April 16, 2017 PhiLSAT.

As part of the leniency given by the Legal Education Board (LEB), those who failed to take the PhilSat exam last April 2017 where given a chance to enroll to Law School provided that they will take the next PhilSat exam (in this case, the September 24, 2017 exams) and of course, with the condition to pass it.

There was a waiver provided by the LEB and it  stated that failure to take and pass the examination will render your enrollment null and void.

2.   Those intending to enroll in the 2nd Sem of the present School year are also required to take the examination. There are no announcement that there will be again exemptions like  the last exams where those who did not take can still enroll. (Only those with Latin awards are given with this exemption.)

3. Those who may take are:
  • College graduates who plan to study law next school year;
  • College students expecting to graduate at the end of AY 2017-2018 who are planning to study law in Ay 2018-2019; and
  • Those who already took the April 16, 2017 PhiLSAT (regardless of whether they passed or failed) but want to get a higher score. For purpose of entering there desired Law School (Like Ateneo and UP) which requires a strict passing rate for the student to be accepted to the university.
